A dear friend of mine, Brian Dwyer, opened the world's only Pizza Museum and Restaurant in Philadelphia called Pizza Brain. In February of 2013, I was about to make a big move out west to Los Angeles, and Brian asked me if I'd like to be part of month long solo exhibitions of art made with Pizza as the focal point. Delightedly, I accepted, and recreated some of my favorite paintings that featured tables in them. Whatever was originally on the table, I replaced with a box of pizza.
